Manufacturing
Cutting, PU coating, sewing, welding and packaging in one facility — so a change to the specification does not have to travel through three suppliers.
Keeping the process in one place is the reason we can take a specification and turn it around quickly. When the coating, the cut and the closure all sit under the same roof, a change to one of them is a conversation rather than a new supply chain.
The line
- Fabric selection. Face fabrics are chosen for stretch, weight and hand feel before anything is coated. A knit that has to move with a patient behaves differently from one stretched over a stretcher.
- PU coating and lamination. The polyurethane membrane is what makes the fabric waterproof while still letting vapour through. Weight and finish are set per product rather than per order.
- Cutting. Made to the dimensions supplied. We work to your mattress, cushion or equipment measurements, not to a standard size chart.
- Sewing and welding. Seams, zips and closures are chosen for how the product will be handled — a zip that is opened daily is not the same component as one that is opened twice a year.
- Inspection and packaging. Checked, folded and packed in the format the receiving warehouse needs.
Quantities and samples
We produce sample runs before a programme starts, so the buyer evaluates the real construction rather than a swatch. Production volumes are set per programme; tell us the annual quantity and the call-off pattern and we will confirm what is workable.
Materials we work with
Polyester and polyester-blend knits, PU-coated and laminated fabrics, PVC and canvas for industrial covers, flame-retardant constructions for cable and equipment sleeves, and foam cores across a range of densities for mattress and cushion work. All of these materials can also be supplied directly — ask about current availability.
Changing an existing product
If you already have a product that nearly works, send it. Reverse-engineering a sample you are unhappy with is often faster than starting from a written specification, and it makes the failure you are trying to design out explicit.
Send us your specification
Share the dimensions, the quantity and where it will be used. We come back with the right construction and a price.
