Specifying and ordering

Every cover is cut to the mattress it will go on. Send the length, width and depth of the mattress, note whether the corners are rounded, and tell us the quantity and where the covers will be used. We propose the fabric weight and closure from that.

The standard closure is a zip on two sides, so staff can fit and remove the cover without lifting the whole mattress. Fabric weight runs from 120 to 300 g/m²: lighter constructions are softer and more flexible, heavier ones are chosen for heavier use.

Covers can be produced under your brand, with your label and packaging. A sample run is made before production starts, so you can test the real cover on your own mattress.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What is a PU mattress cover?

A PU mattress cover is a mattress encasement made from fabric with a polyurethane (PU) membrane. The membrane forms a waterproof barrier that keeps liquids out of the mattress core, while a zipper closure encloses the whole mattress.

Which mattress cover is used on a hospital bed?

Hospital beds need a waterproof, breathable and wipeable PU polyurethane mattress cover that encloses the whole mattress, moves with the patient and survives hot washing. Libacce PU mattress covers stretch in two directions, close with a zip on two sides and can be washed at up to 85 °C.

Are PU mattress covers waterproof?

Yes. The polyurethane membrane provides a waterproof, liquid-resistant surface that protects the mattress against liquid penetration.

Can PU mattress covers be washed?

Yes. Libacce PU mattress covers are wipeable and can be machine washed at up to 85 °C. Always follow the care instructions on the product label for the specific model.

Are PU mattress covers breathable?

Breathable, moisture-vapour-permeable constructions are available where the application requires them. Tell us the intended use and we will recommend the right material.

Can you make PU covers for hospital, incubator or non-standard mattresses?

Who uses Libacce PU mattress covers?

They are used in hospitals, nursing homes, elderly care facilities, hotels and home care, as well as by retail customers who want everyday mattress protection.
